FAQS
Can I use this tandoor on an induction cooktop?
No. This tandoor is made of high-grade aluminium and is specifically designed for use on Gas Stoves only.
Do I need to pre-heat the tandoor?
Yes. For that authentic clay-oven taste, pre-heat the tandoor on a medium flame for about 5–7 minutes before placing your food inside.
Why is my food sticking to the grill/trays?
This happens if the trays aren't greased. Always apply a light coating of oil or butter to the grill rack or trays before cooking.
Can I bake cakes and cookies in this gas tandoor?
Absolutely! It acts as a 360-degree convection oven. It is excellent for baking biscuits, cakes, and even pizzas, in addition to tikkas and naans.
Why is the aluminium body changing color?
Slight discoloration or darkening is normal for aluminium when exposed to high heat over time. It does not affect the safety or the taste of your food.
How do I clean burnt grease from the tandoor?
Do not use harsh wire brushes. Soak the trays in warm soapy water for 15 minutes, then use a soft sponge. For the main body, a simple wipe-down after it cools is sufficient.
