- Salting: Add salt only to boiling water to prevent permanent pitting.
- Storage: Wipe dry immediately to maintain the mirror finish.
Critical Red Flags
-
- Dry Heating: Never heat an empty pan; it can cause layers to delaminate.
- Thermal Shock: Don't plunge a hot pan into cold water—it will warp.
- No Bleach: Chlorine-based cleaners cause rapid, irreversible corrosion.
- Loose Rivets: Stop use if handles wobble; Tri-ply is heavy and a burn risk.
FAQS
What exactly does "Triply" mean?
It refers to the three-layer construction: an inner layer of 304 Food Grade Stainless Steel for healthy cooking, a middle layer of Aluminium for even heat distribution, and an outer layer of 430 Magnetic Stainless Steel making it induction-friendly.
Why is triply better than standard aluminium or single-layer steel?
Standard steel has "hot spots" that burn food easily. Triply spreads heat like a pro, so your dal doesn't stick to the bottom while the top is still raw. Plus, it’s much more durable and won't react with acidic foods like tomatoes.
Is it compatible with induction cooktops?
Yes. The outer base is magnetic, so it works perfectly on induction, gas, electric, and halogen stoves.
Is it dishwasher safe?
The body of the cooker is generally dishwasher safe. However, it is highly recommended to hand wash the lid, the gasket, and the weight valve to preserve the seals and safety mechanisms.
Why is my food sticking to the stainless steel?
Sticking usually happens due to high heat. Tri-ply conducts heat very efficiently; always use low to medium flame. Also, ensure the pan is pre-heated before adding oil and food.
Can I use metal spatulas?
Yes, our high-grade SS 304 interior is highly durable. However, to maintain the mirror-like finish for years, silicone or wooden spatulas are recommended.
